Todd Jeffords Senior Consultant

Todd Jeffords is a Senior Consultant at the American Business Development Group, an internationally respected, full-spectrum business development consulting firm, now representing a diverse list of over fifty prominent U.S. and international businesses.  American Business Development Group enjoys a reputation as the largest business development firm in the United States which specializes in the re-equipping and modernization of the Reserve Component.  The firm has facilitated more than $680,000,000 in “new found sales” for client companies in the last year and historically each year for the last four years.

Mr. Jeffords joined American Business Development Group (ABDG) in January of 2009 to assist in directing the Company’s consulting and business development practice in the areas of homeland security, international operations, and defense.

Prior to joining ABDG, for three years he was Director at Adelphi Capital, LLC, a Washington, DC-based boutique investment bank and consulting firm. There he was responsible for supporting the Company’s strategic consulting and transaction advisory services in the areas of homeland security, transportation, and government services. 

Before joining Adelphi, he spent two years at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Special Assistant to the DHS Chief of Staff, where he worked on a variety of DHS strategic goals and operational issues for the Secretary, working with the White House and state & local governments. Prior to that, he served as a Business Liaison in the Department’s Private Sector Office, working with members of the business community and advising the Secretary on the impact of government policies on the nation’s private sector.

Previous to his tenure at DHS, Mr. Jeffords served at the White House, in the Office of Homeland Security, the predecessor to DHS. Before his service at the White House, he worked at the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development as a Legislative Liaison for Secretary Mel Martinez. And before moving to Washington, DC, he worked in several capacities on the Bush/Cheney 2000 campaign.

Prior to his opportunities in the political arena, he worked for South Carolina-based Sonoco Products Co., a $2.5 billion revenue industrial packaging and plastics company. Mr. Jeffords is a graduate of Newberry College with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He currently resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.
